KXLY 4's Mark Peterson is a Montana native and has been "talking" professionally since 1981. He launched his career in radio, doing a variety of shifts and duties, which included morning drive, midday, evenings and over-nights; doing a little bit of everything to get his career going. In 1988, Mark made the jump to television broadcasting. Three TV stations and two states later, he is currently one of the mainstays of KXLY 4's morning news program, Good Morning Northwest HD. He has been with KXLY for 8 years and continues to try new things all the time.
KXLY’s Extreme Team projects are the work Mark is the most proud of. Mark has spearheaded this program since the beginning and continues to focus on helping those who can't physically or financially help themselves. In addition to the great work he does with Extreme Team, Mark also takes part in dozens of local community functions and is always looking to help local non-profit organizations in any way he can.
Mark is the proud father of three boys, ages 4, 11 and 15. His wife would say she is the mother of four boys (Mark included). As you can see, Mark has no problem keeping busy and is always trying to do a "better" job... as a parent, as a broadcasting professional, and as a proud member of the Spokane community. |
